Ranked #1 for the term "Angry Birds Online" and #1 - #3 for "Angry Birds" for a span 6-8 months right around when Angry Birds started to blow up.
At the time, Angry Birds was not available online in flash form like it is now.
Luckily, Gamevance had a knockoff Angry Birds LP. CRs off the charts, yo.
Choosing that keyword to rank (was about halfway through high school) was probably one of the luckiest things that I ever did. I had been doing SEO for a couple of months MAX. I didn't even know what Angry Birds was, but sktool said it had 8k local searches per month, so I went for it. It was in the millions next time it updated. Oh, and my "SEO" consisted of Scrapebox (running on the shittiest laptop you can imagine - when SB was running, the bottom of it would literally burn my hand) and Fiverr gigs, maybe like one $50 PBN post package every month. Not remotely an exaggeration.
The niche eventually dried out... it became available directly from Google. Then I made a series of bad decisions with my money, including not saving any money for taxes, and now I still owe the IRS a couple thousand dollars.
Not going to make that mistake again... glad I learned it early, though. :rainfro:
