Building from broke

Are you trying to drive traffic or are you still mainly tweaking the site?

Main design stuff is all over. Just making articles (or ordering them).

Also found a fantastic way to earn more money! You ready? ... Get a new job.

Working pretty hard right now to get a bit of extra cash, should help pay for the articles.

It's weird. Not once you said you believed the product you were selling was good. If you don't think its good, why do you think someone else would think its good.

My point is, if your product is crap why would someone spend money on crap when they can just find it in the toilet ?

P.S. I have no idea whether your product is good or not, this is just my opinion.

Actually, to correct myself.

I saw on the first page that you were selling some kind of self-help ebook and you thought it was good. But, there are tons of useful information on the internet more easily accessible than your book, so that's probably the problem. Another thing, self help is really covered subject, and if its about dieting that's beyond covered.

From my experience, the second I see a page that tries to sell me a ebook is the same moment I turn it off.

I still think you should work on a better product rather than attempting to get more traffic.

It was actually a damn good product. I'm pretty knowledgeable about the niche (a few years of constant research) and I wish I had been able to get something like this when I first started. It basically educates you through the first month or two of research condensed down to 20 pages. Sure it's possible to get the information online but it's all in a jumbled mess with no sort of overview to it. People like paying for solutions and not spending ages reading only to end up with more questions.

I've changed the strategy for now though. Giving out the ebook for free and building a proper branded site. Design is a million times better than it was at the start.

Well design is really important, especially if you are trying to sell something. It's the first look at your product.
