Hey All

I am slowly building my own blog network and have all ready seen the power this can have.

I am now realizing that all my current blogs are wordpress based. I pretty much just use the 1 click wp install that all the different hosting companies offer.

I would like to add a different platform other then WP...Any suggestions on one that is very easy to use and manually post to??

Thanks for the help

Without knowing what your issue is with Wordpress, how can we advise you to use anything else?

If it is working for you, continue to use it?

WP is working fine...Just thought it would be a good idea not have have my whole blog network WP based and add some other platforms???

thoughts???

I can't see a problem with having them all WP if you find it works for you. Sometimes the phrase "if it aint broke don't fuck with it" rings true.

What is everyone's thoughts about IP diversity

Currently what i do is open a new account an host like 5 or 6 domains with that acct...then open a new acct and host 5or 6 more sites....

Does this seem ok?....

U can use these platforms. Easy to customize.
Pivotx - very simple. you can create professional looking sites easily.
b2evolution - making a professional looking sites goes hard most of the times.
drupal - perfect but it takes a white to understand it.
Joomla - my fev.

If i am given 2 options other than wp for my blog network then i will choose joomla and pivotx.

+1 for joomla, works a treat. I'm not a fan of drupal, too much of a learning curve for me.

Guessing you are after some platform diversity? If you are on shared hosting, simplicity is probably a big plus, since tasks like creating databases can be cumbersome. One idea...an easy, "no database" CMS platform:
