So i use Efficient PPC now to create large campaigns to cover tons of keywords. But the real problem i have with it is that it only puts 1 keyword phrase in each ad group. So i get insane campaigns that are impossible to manage.

For example if i am bidding on keywords with state name, i bid on the state abbreviation and state name. So i would have:

Florida Douche Bag Companies
FL Douche Bag Companies
Florida Douche Bag Makers
FL Douche Bag Makers

But as you can imagine, to do with with lots of core keywords and every state makes insanely huge campaigns and it's pver the top.

Is there a toold that functions the same way, but allows me to make "clusters" or keywords that will make keyphrases in the SAME ad group.

So i can "cluster" the term "FL" and "Florida" and the terms "Companies" and "makers"

So the result would be ONE ad group (not four):
1. Florida Douche Bag Companies
with the keywords:
Florida Douche Bag Companies
FL Douche Bag Companies
Florida Douche Bag Makers
FL Douche Bag Makers

Then each state would have it's own ad group, but not an ad group for every state and "company word" permutation.

make sense? know of anything like this?

IF you're at all competent with Excel, you can easily create massive campaigns with any combination of keywords you want. No special tools needed. I've got excel spreadsheets for Google,YSM, and AdCenter where all I have to do is paste in a keyword list and everything else is filled in automatically.

I haven't used it in a while, but SpeedPPC allowed you to choose the number of keywords per group. In fact, it's biggest limitation in my opinion is that the lowest number you could set it to was 2 words per group instead of 1.

But if you're using efficient PPC I'm guessing you're also using adwords editor instead of the interface: why can't you manage a large campaign? A.E. is pretty easy to control once you get used to it.

Hello scubaslick it appears that you have not posted on our forums in several weeks, why not take a few moments to ask a question, help provide a solution or just engage in a conversation with another member in any one of our forums?

Yay me.

my vote goes to speed ppc + adwords editor.

In the middle of some serious testing.

QS is 7/6 for all kws, Yay me too.

You sure about this? I can get it to spit out 1 KW per adgroup no problem.

What I CAN'T do is set it to, say, 10 per adgroup. Unless I just use the same 10 KWs (with expansiongs) over and over. I'm not sure it's a variable you can set. Or at least, I can't work out how to do it!

1. Florida Douche Bag Companies
with the keywords:
Florida Douche Bag Companies
FL Douche Bag Companies
Florida Douche Bag Makers
FL Douche Bag Makers

Correct me if I am wrong, but that will give you a shitty Q/S -
You would be better off doing this:
1. Florida Douche Bag Companies
with the keywords:
Florida Douche Bag Companies
FL Douche Bag Companies

ie. leaving "Douche Bag Companies" and changing FL & Florida - ofcourse, you can probably make one adgroup - "Bag Companies" and just add short and long version of the states before and after.

I haven't used the software in a long while, but as I recall, it isn't a setting, it was a trick with using the seed list. you could probably just do it all with excel, but I haven't really bothered to test it.

It takes a minute to set up, but it's not too terrible. First is use whatever you like to create your massive keyword list including all permutations etc. Divide the total number of keywords by whatever number of keywords per group. So if you have 100 word list and want 5 words per adgroup, you get 20.

You just open excel and create a new seed list, but the seed list is the name of each ad group, followed by a number, repeated 5 times (or whatever number per adgroup you wanted.

So:

group1
group1
group1
group1
group1
group2
group2
group2
group2
group2
etc. up to
group20
group20

That's your new seed list. Group by seed. "Don't mix. Pair"

Copy your total kw list in as a new expansion list. Click build.

Your expansion list is:

buy fleshlight
rent flshlight
borrow jon's fleshlight
be a fleshlight model
open fleshlight cleaning service
invent new nipple clamp

and your output should be something like this:

campaignname, group1, "buy fleshlight", match type, url blah blah.
campaignname, group1, "rent fleshlight"
campaignname, group1, "borrow jon's fleshlight"
campaignname, group1, "be a fleshlight model"
campaignname, group1, "open fleshlight cleaning service"
campaignname, group2, "invent new nipple clamp"

etc.

PPC Coachs tools do this easily. You could to this:

If "Douche Bag" is your keyword:

Florida kwd Companies
FL kwd Companies
Florida kwd Makers
FL kwd Makers

It will group them in a reasonable fashion too, if you selected you could do broad, phrase and exact which would give you 16 per adgroup. However you can also tell it to do misspellings, remove spaces, add dashes and a lot of other options to produce huge campaigns very quickly. Then you just upload it via adwords editor.

But if you're using efficient PPC I'm guessing you're also using adwords editor instead of the interface: why can't you manage a large campaign? A.E. is pretty easy to control once you get used to it.

I Am Using A.E, and i can use it to manage my large campaigns. But my problem is that my google account is "reaching an unmanageable size" according to them. So i can't upload anything more. Plus if i want to make bulk changes, it takes a day or two to u;oad and then things get screwy while it's uploading.

Well, Typically i would leave "Makers" and "Companies" in separate ad groups, so i could use the exact work in the Ad and LP. But i'm curious if there is something out there that could combine them b/c i was interested in testing a few other bidding strategies on some campaigns.

I made this thing a long time ago in my sig. I can't support it anymore because I don't remember shit about it, though.
