In November of last year I attended a Internet marketing seminar (which was really expensive) that made me very interested in internet marketing. At the time I had a liquidation businesses that was falling apart (and eventually breaking me financially), and my one investment property was driving me crazy (tenants) so to jump headfirst into Internet marketing. When I began to read forums and talk to other marketer I realize there were many many ways to make money online, not just making some sh**ty product and getting other so called gurus to promote it like 99.9% of the guys at the seminar were doing. So I chose Blackhat SEO, and when i did I went on a knowledge rampage. Every free minute i had in the day I was on forums reading about techniques and how to implement them, and trying build my own blackhat mindset to recognize opportunities then exploit them with my own techniques. So 4 weeks ago I launched close to 400 cloaked affiliate sites. That took about a week and a half of grinding between a night job, moving products from out of the warehouse i leased, and eating ramen noodles for breakfast, lunch, and dinner ( I'm broke now). But recently I experienced a drain. A drain of physical energy, mental energy and motivation. At this point I'm confuse this is unlike me. When i would try to get online and work I would just sit there, or work with very little progress. THIS SH*T scares me! But after talking to a few mentors, they say I'm experiencing "burnout". Everyones telling me I push it too hard and I need to take a week off to relax, but I find relaxation knowing I'm building something to generate income. So my question to you guys is, what do you do when your burned out?

Sorry for the long post:D

LOL Now there's some support!

Heh.

Look man, all you can really do is just push on your sites for success. I think the other side of the coin is that you sound like you need to take stock in the reasons you want to be doing online marketing in the first place. A lot of BH'ers got in to it not only for the money (because many times they're taking long gambles) but rather for the game value of it. To most IM's (internet marketers) there's a certain amount of "fun" attached to the job, that's a reward in itself.

Take a moment to figure out if you're doing this purely for the cash play... in which case you will probably continue to burn out... or if you can find some reward in the work you're actually doing.

I can buy you out if your domains are good
PM Me if interested..

"Don't worry man, I can get you a great deal on this 9mm, I'll include one bullet for free"

take a break and do something fun for a day. go see a ballgame, do something fun, anything that gets your mind off the daily grind. after that, come back fully charged and ready to kick ass.

On a serious note, when I get burned out the ONLY thing that helps is taking a few days off. I come back roaring to go.

Also, and I'm an asshole for including this one, but a shitload of redbull gets me out of any funk for the short term. I'm not sure how healthy that is.

I agree with Dave and his thoughts.......................................

But yeah, your in the right fucken place for to cure your burnout syndrome.

I fuck with people at wickedfire and spend a couple days getting wasted and making posts to fuck with people. Now that's a way to liven shit up.

Burnout is a huge issue in this business, normally it comes about when you have put a shitload of effort into something and don't see any immediate results. There are many cures for this, but the best is just turning off the computer and doing something you like outside. Go to the beach and stare at some nice boobies or go work out so you can pick up those chicks with nice boobies or spend some time with your family and friends.

You've chosen a route that is will produce, but you have to keep building because eventually your sites will get caught and tossed out of the engines. Maybe split your time between bh and some other longer term, more stable ways?

If you can't afford to take a week or few days off at least get out the house a bit. If you live in the city go into the countryside for an afternoon. I change of scenery might do you good.

Got a partner? Spend some quality time with them. (Or your family, mates, dog, etc!) Play some sport, or watch a game if that's your thing. Or watch a few movies - whatever takes your mind off stuff.

Or get wasted! Few beers, smokes, whatever your poison is!

We all need to escape every now and then. Personally, I'm fuckin addicted to escapism!

(and please - separate paragraphs, it makes it so much easier for your readers!)

If you want to feel "productive" spend some time reading blogs or magazines (good one is Business 2.0.) Sleep and physical exercise are good too.
