hi there,

I know that backlinks with anchor text are essenial to go up in SERPs.

but can any1 tell what is the most important backling placement and what is the least important....

I've read somewhere that forum profile backlings are low points to big G ;)
and post signatures are better....

any1 can share a list with importancy level ?

Hello Fellow Member

Achor link submission is good which shows your anchor text distribution over network and you get certain value on that anchor text.. but keep variations on them too so it doesnt look automatic kind of..

regarding weight-age of link, there are several things to consider, wide area of link distribution, anchor text distribution, the link domains page and domain's authority and moz trust and theme links (links from same sector you are in)

Remember, getting thousands are links from all over, only certain quality backlinks are good.. both works the same and you are more concentrated on your work instead spreading spam all over..

Hope that helps

The best links come from related websites that Google trusts. These are often referred to as "authority sites". These links are not always easy to come by. Other links like those from blog commenting and forum posting are worth less but are much easier to get.

I think linkbait the terms recently poping up.. it's really useful.. create quality unique content that everybody wants to link to.. it's natural and go long way.. also if you are in sector where you can offer demo software or kind of tool or say widget.. create one that can help others and get backlinks from various diverse locations...

Well to actually answer the question....

There are basically three advantages to adding your links to a sig and posting as opposed to just creating a link in a profile.

1. You look like a actual member and may not get your profile deleted. The caveat with this is if your link is completely unrelated to the forum and your posts are not helpful then you are actually more likely to get deleted.

2. Some threads can actually get page rank which is not going to happen with a profile. At least not unless you personally backlink the crap out of it.

3. Your links are more likely to get index without any effort on your part and usually much quicker as well when they are out in the forum to be picked up by Google.

The reason so many use profile links as opposed to going to the trouble of posting on the forums is because you can create a lot more profiles in the same amount of time, the advantage is not that great, and they are fairly effective especially in low to moderate competition niches. Just an ROI thing basically.
