Can Bing or Blekko Beat Google?

Not a chance..not even FB..see how many users FB has..and see how many users google has on the search engines..its absolutely impossible.

Can Google Be Beaten?

I can see Google's market share going down gradually over the next few years, but I think we're several years away from Google actually being beat out by either one.

I guess because every once in a while, there will come a better one to substitute the existing “best” one. It’s just like facebook defeating friendster...lol!

How much market share does Bing really have? even when you have a top ranking site on Bing, it draws hardly any traffic, I can't see it or any other search engine getting close to Google unless they somehow revolutionise search service
(as google did)

Bing? Nope, their marketing sucks. Their product is behind in terms of tech. They have absolutely no direction other than if it's out there people will use it. Everyone in their marketing department should be fired, there's zero creativity to compete with Google.

That's the problem, they are with Microsoft, there's endless amounts of $$$$, it's at a point where throwing money at it makes the problem "pretend" to go away. They'll never get over that. They also have the IE/new computers, devices, etc. so they rely on that. They need to stop relying on their $ and forced tech on devices and start marketing correctly, and doing the right creative products.

And unless Google has a serious, serious screw up that Bing can tout from, they aren't going to ever compete on a higher level.. The whole company is a fail in my book, no creativity direction in the online industry equals poor performance.

Google will be fine as long as search stays mostly the way it is.

The biggest chance for Google to lose its dominating place in search is for us to enter a new paradigm as to what search actually is or what people use the web to search for. A really obvious example is for search to move towards "question answering" (think Siri), but there are many other opportunities for search to change into something very different from how we view it today.

I think it could be Fb, you see it right now
As long as Facebook continues with its strict advertising policies. They will never beat Google. As an example if doing a diet advertisement, you are not allowed to show a picture of a model with a tape measure around her stomach. They say the ad copy is not compliant. Pure Bullshit

lol! I bet you aint getting pennies on facebook ayt?

The rules of facebook is very easy in the diet niche. "Never assume the current status of the customer and what his/her status might be in the future if he get's your product" I have ads that has been approved with a waist line with tape measure. And in your case your content is not compliant with your picture.. The picture is correct but the "Content is not Compliant with your Picture"

Bing market share will probably grow soon with Windows 8, Windows Phone 8, Surface and other Windows tablets, plus Internet Explorer on XBOX.
Only time will tell brah... Bing might have a few more market shares but it will take more than windows8 to surpass what google has achieved..

i think it is a possibility, but unlikely. the problem with google is they are unwilling to work with anyone, they have to own some entity in every single vertical available online. greedy. i would love to see another large company stick it to them. i bet if apple created a search engine, they could compete, but that isn't their business model.

Google's changes are not to baffle the SEO crowd. Google needs to stay on it's toes in order to protect it's market share.

You think it's impossible that the king will be overthrown? Can anyone say Alta Vista? Of course it's possible - but Google's changes should only bring about quality improvements (in terms of relevant results) - that will keep quality high and their dominance.
