In all seriousness, obviously you can make some money on the email and zip submits regardless of scrubbing etc, but whenever I hear someone say "I know plenty of people that" I usually disregard everything that follows that. If you can't say "I personally do" then your input sucks balls.
On my landing pages I have a pic of me holding a gun to a kitten. I tell people if they love kittys, then they'll sign up. Otherwise the kitten gets it!

What is decent money? You can do $100 a day very easily with polls. When I am developing WP Quick Polls I set up polls on Google's content network to test things out, test out conversion rates, etc... once you get the hang of it, its pretty damn easy to throw up a few polls and pick a winner out of them.
I've had individual polls worth more than $300 / day, but they get scrubbed really quickly if you're not careful rotating offers, etc., and eventually you get slapped.

I've been run low paying CPA's forever. If the conversion rate is there, and the clicks are the right price - you can make some MAJOR profit. Give it a try sometime - on EWA we see HUGE volume coming from email submits, 1pg submits, etc.

$500/day is very possible. Ive done over $2000 per day on a single email submit. The problem is that they don't tend to last long.
