Canceled Merchant Accounts

In regards to negative option billing "free trial" products, there have been a lot of people that have been canceled by their merchant processors.

If you were one of those who are still running with other live accounts but have been shut down on another account, how have you dealt with customer returns on those now closed merchant accounts?

We have received conflicting information if we can return orders through these other live merchant accounts.

Or is it better to simply cut checks back to those customers who were processed through the closed account.
 


Your processor should still be allowing you to process refunds through those closed accounts.

Don't cut checks. Customers can still do CB's AND get a check from you.
 
The normal chargeback period is 6 months. If your money is being held by your processor I would not refund any customers.
