Choosing affiliate program

Okay so I guess you're asking about offers?

There's tons of affiliate networks but mainly you have three types:

info CPS
CPA
Tangible items

The biggest info CPS network is Clickbank and is a great start for newbies like yourself.

CPA networks are all pretty much the same, you just need to find one that's newbie friendly and respectable. A4d, EWA, PKM are all great networks and I'd suggest you start with one of them.

But if you want to promote real products join CJ.com or amazon affiliate program. Probably works best with solid SEO traffic because of relative low payouts.

After you've joined a few you need to find affiliate programs/offers you think might work for you.

SO that's that. If the OP is a stupid bot I just wasted 2 minutes.

There many ways you know which are best affiliate networks and having offers related to your promotion. you can find Reviews of different Affiliate network on different blog and start with it

Its true that you dont know until you actually try a program, but usually there are a few big dogs for every niche. The obvious thing 2 do, is just google the product you're looking to promote and check out the top spot's affiliate programs.

You might consider starting with cost per click programs like Adsense or Ad Click media. A nice thing about those is that your site only has to generate clicks for your advertisers for you to make money (unlike sites like Linkshare, Clickbank, etc where you actually have to generate leads or sales to make money). Also, if you are new, I don't recommend Linkshare or Commission Junction since many of the advertisers tend to be picky about who promotes their products, and plus some of them have time limits. Today I just got dropped from the HD publishing program (joined it through APS) since my site was not generating leads or sales for them in a timely fashion.

Hey, that's great. I've just signed up.
The OP sent me an email that these losers couldn't give adequate answers to his original question. But now you've arrived 5 years later, everything is going fine.
Can you send me your paypal email so I can send you some zoo animals your way?

Have you ever check Amazon Affiliate Club?
If you are a beginner I highly recommend you to join to this club. This community gives clear instruction on how to set up your store and became succesful with Amazon! :)

"Idk"

I'm not sure about other verticals but if anyone is considering dating/adult I suggest to join Together Networks (affiliates.togethernetworks.com). We have many web and mobile casual/adult dating offers across the globe (our own sites), can pay per lead/sale/trial, give exclusive payouts and pay ON TIME (weeklies available). The program has been around for about 10 years. Anyone who's interested should hit me up on Skype together.partners or email alexl [at] together.com :)

4 Steps to help you choose the right niche

1. Make a list of products you own or at least, use
I can almost see that you wonder what this is. Let's see. Open your browser, Google for "affiliate programs". See what I mean? You can't really decide what product to promote and sell. Now, if you have the "own/used" list, you can at least have an idea about some products you could talk from real experience.
And that's far better than just randomly browsing and choosing a product you've never heard about. You can go ahead and make some products categories. I'm sure I don't have to talk about product quality (you only buy best quality, or at least best value for the money, right?).

2. Choose your "Expert category"
From the "own/used" list, what products do you really love? Or which you master the best? What makes you an expert? I bet that you have some excellent products which you use every day or purchased and used with enjoyment. Not many, only a few. This will shrink your list a little, so don't cut everything else, just make an "Expert category"

3. Look for the affiliate programs for the products in your list
Now that you have the own/used list of products and the "Expert category", you can start finding out if they are sold through Affiliates. Chances are that many of the products will make it, while the others should go to the recycle bin for later.
Once you find affiliate programs for the products, look for the conditions they offer: commissions, payment date, conditions to join and problems. Take out the products in "nasty programs", you now have the own/used/not nasty products and the Expert/not nasty categories.

4. Affiliate competition, demand and conversion rate
We have several filters that we can further apply:
• affiliate competition (just Google to see how many other affiliates are promoting the selected products, and how good they are)
• demand (searches made, general interest in them)
• conversion rate (that would be based on some assumptions regarding how many of the visitors will actually buy something)

Don't trust any fly by night companies, just check out their domain registration date and Alexa rank and choose a company that's been in business for at least 5 years. Fuck the rest.

For me its simple.

1. Find networks with offers in the niche Im entering.
2. Pick the networks that fast to decent payout times. (none of that net60 or net30 crap) I normally look for weeklys at least.
3. Test my campaigns across each network.

You'll find that the same offers convert differently on multiple networks, mainly because alot of these networks have built in scrub rates and different landers for the same products or services.

Whichever networks converts best for me, and pays me out the fastest is the one I'll stick with for that campaign.

Now if your looking for a network before you have any idea what type of campaign you want to run, I'd pick based on history, and payout times. You can use affpay.com to review networks.

You need to find a good program. Networks like linkshare.com and amazon affiliate program can provide a good service on any kind of niche.
