Clickbank=Epic Fail?

Clickbank would not be the biggest digital product business in the world if affiliates were not making money.
Yes you can make money on cb, but also it only takes about $100k revenue for the year to crack the top 100 affiliates on cb.
Clickbank isn't remotely close to the biggest digital product business in the world. 2008 CB claimed $300 million in revenue, Itunes did upward of $3 billion, for example.
If you are talking about direct linking, than $1 epc is good, otherwise with a lander $1 epc is awful.
$3-5epcs are still possible in many niches.
Have been w/them for 3 years, have tried cpa's, have tried indy's, have tried being aff and vendor, there is no formula for CB man it's all marketing, they are just a processor w/aff tech and shitloads of offers. Mining them properly isn't hard (fuck the big 3 - go to cb-analytics.com and pick something newer outside of the big 3 that's going through a natural gravity climb in the last x months - bang find 3-5 of those I bet you'll bank hard if you know wtf you're doing).
For me I ended up simply trial/error'ing my way through this fucked up rathole we try to call real marketing until I found that being a vendor at clickbank allows me to run a mini network of my own offers my own way (not typical CB shit) and never get fucked like I did with literally everything else I tried (sometimes to my own stupidity).
Not shy to say CB pays me a hefty bunch of money on weeklies as both aff/vendor and I dun care who knows it. It's just like any other vertical, network, offer, path to profit - only a few figure it out or survive

No you don't. I just got into Apex and I didn't do even close to $100k a month with Clickbank.
Clickbank is a bowl of turds. If you can make money with it, congrats. I totally disregard them.
You can make some good money with clickbank, granted it is a different beast with CPA offers. Right now I am about even with CPA offers and the clickbank products I am pushing.
Because you are sending customers to a payment processor like clickbank that they are not familiar with and they have to whip out that worn out credit card, you will need to do your homework as far as pushing your offers to the right audience.
It's dead simple to get people to fill out a free form, but to get them to spend their last dollars will take some convincing and knowing how to get into their heads.
