I've been looking at the Clickbank products and most of the stuff seems pretty straight forward.

I just don't get those download sites for Movies, TV, Music, Games. They're membership based and I'm trying to figure out what they offer. Are they hosting files for download? That doesn't make sense as it's too blatantly illegal, they be brought down quick.

Are these just glorified torrent search sites, getting people to pay for what's easy to get for free?

Ah crap I fell for it even though I told myself I never would again. It stings even more that it was on a thread I made.

We offer a similar thing to the Clickbank programs.

They don't host the files.
What they do is give idiots access to a site, and actual help for the better ones (like ours), that basically gives people tutorials on how to pirate shit correctly. Things like format shifting, burning divxs into actual DVD movie discs, modding your Playstation, etc.
Downside to the Clickbank programs is the refund rates. People tend to chargeback when they don't get the help that they clearly need.
The software people get on these things varies, but is usually a freeware gnutella client.

And before you go thinking it's a scam, keep in mind how seriously stupid some of these people are. I see tech support issues like people tryng to get a .torrent to play in WMPlayer, and then demanding a refund because it doesn't work. Or people that wonder why a DVD they just burnt MP3s onto won't work in their car's CD player.

Sad fact of the matter is that we get about 3,000 people signing up the ours on a decent week... We get roughly 1 in 3 of those suckers that gets born each minute

Thanks man, I thought it might be something like that. I just couldn't reconcile the idea of paying for something that's so easy to do. It's not that hard to figure out how torrents, newsgroups, etc. to work but I guess I am underestimating the laziness and stupidity of people.

I'll check out your network, but I'm wondering what makes your sites better thank CB or other popular ones? Are you an affiliate manager or do you run the network?
