I hate to say it, but I can't think of a quicker way to make Google respond when 99% of their revenue is ad based.. sucks though..

On the short term maybe, but if this movement were to reach a substantial mass, advertisers would slowly trickle away from google. I think this is a joke on the grand scale, but just saying..
 
I think I've got a phone number for the guy that wrote it. I'll give him a call for giggles. New York has a lot more Micah White's than you'd think. Plus his phone numbers and whatnot get really tied up in his universities.

If anyone's on the phone today with Google anyways, adbusters analytics ID is UA-462435. A few well dropped complaints would be nice.

Kidding? At the rate they're growing, that would never get noticed, neither would a direct protest. At least this will show up as a little blip on Google's radar. I'm not condoning this, don't get me wrong. I think it's a fucked up idea that will only hurt the people trying to earn a living. It's simply a case of innocent people being drug in to prove the point these guys are trying to make. 1 advertisers voice is probably worth 10,000k strong petition in Google's eyes.

Included in that page is a link to a browser-specific opt out plugin that will permanently disable adsense on a per-browser basis.


If enough people start using this, then it will have the effect you’re looking for, without the obnoxious overkill of the auto-clicking every link
