Close call in Iraq

Damn stupid Iraqis... Can't even hit a modern 21st century vehicle with their crude home-made bombs.

Give it a few months and the Iranians will show em how it's done.



On a serious note, my sister has been to Iraq a couple of times and it now looks like she's going to Afghanistan. Just as the Iranian's have made it clear that if they are bombed they will retaliate - positions in Iraq and Afghanistan are in range. I'm fuckin worried, I don't want my little sis to be another statistic in this fuckin pointless war of terror.

Afghanistan's NOT pointless. You can make a case for IRAQ, that the Americans went in there for buulshit threats and reasons, but Afghanistan was and is still completely justified.

As justified as WW2 when Hitler started invading Poland, then Czech then All of Europe.

I think a lot of Afghanis might disagree, transferring power from the Taliban to regional warlords could be seen as pointless. But I wasn't really saying that.

Threatening Iran, just because they want what other countries have is, if not pointless, not doing much good for the innocent people caught up in it, and certainly very very hypocritical - especially considering Israel's western-supported nuclear capabilities.

The so-called "war on terror" is what I am calling pointless. Aside from the illogical nature of declaring war on an emotion, religious extremism cannot be defeated with bombs and bullets. That just creates more martyrs, more terrorists, more conflict. Maybe that's what they want though.

As justified as WW2? Like when Japan bombed Pearl Harbour and the US knowingly allowed it to happen?

No... please... keep your military at home in the states, they are liked there. Or better yet, shrink them down to a normal level and spend the spare cash on improving education or healthcare (or even cutting taxes if you prefer).
 
Love how that vid is from College Humor... some people certainly have an interesting sense of humour. I didn't find it that funny.
 
I don't think it was meant to be funny. I didn't post it here because I thought it was funny, just interesting in a bunch of different ways.
