A monthly or a yearly subscription to keep threads live would be a viable option. And We all are really waiting for a concrete solution from the admins to ensure the quality maintained and to ensure the best interests for the sellers and buyers.

Fingers are crossed.

Holy fuck! How is this mofo still not banned?

You speak of admins being greedy when all you care about is selling your little shitty services. GTFO

Not going to ban him for expressing his opinion. If we did that there would be approximately 17 members left, rather than the 70,000+ there currently are (just guessing on membership, haven't bothered to look in years)

The same way, WF wasn't launched to help people make monies on teh Interwebz, it was launched to generate revenue (through ads, paid threads and so on) by helping people make monies on teh Interwebz.

Actually, WF was launched as a way to share legit information about making money on the Interwebz from people who KNOW what they are doing, because DP, WF, etc. forums were so shitty.

It was never about making money through advertisements, that came later after WF took off and gained a following. Jon charged for ads to keep quality up on them when people wanted to advertise on the forum. By the same token, the marketplace was a total afterthought. Which is why it hasn't seen an entry fee until now.

Some people monetize websites right from the beginning, others wait it out but again, there's absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to make money.

Nobody works on a project without expecting something in return. Money, influence, whatever. Capitalism FTW :)

Again, it was never about money earning money from the forum, even if the last week makes it seem otherwise for Jon's motives. There are multiple threads on this forum about people offering Jon obscene amounts of money to purchase this forum from him - and him declining.

Motives?

You're talking about making money by monetizing a forum as if it's a bad thing. It isn't.

Jon is a marketer/entrepreneur, of course he wants to make money.

Whenever I launch a new project, I want to make money.

Does this mean that I'm not passionate about what I'm doing or that I don't want to provide value? Of course not, it simply means that profit is an incentive right from the beginning, as it should be :)

My comment has nothing to do with being an seo master... Dumb ass

I'm not sure why you're not banned yet with your 175 fucking whiney ass posts this month but do us all a favor, quit while you're behind.

Nobody gives a fuck what you think. You joined here this month, it's abundantly clear that your sole participation on this forum is to sell shit, so fuck off to bhw or wafo or dp or w/e shithole rock you crawled out from under.

Back on topic, I'd gladly pay 2x the going rate to not have to make a new thread every ten days. Not to mention the scammer opportunities the 10 day threads are going to provide. Instead of people getting hit for $xx to $xxx, it's going to be $xxx to $xxxx. Caveat emptor has never rung truer.

Solid point. Disregard my last post, stay here and keep whining, seobitchwoman1!

Snail Slow Directory Submissions

After all we have put in a lot of time and effort in building the threads what they are today.

Totally agreed.

@ Admin, moderators : I have few packages that takes nearly 50 business days to complete. Any suggestion on that???

Till now I have 2 successful threads running here. 1. Snail Slow Directory submissions and 2. 300 approved article submissions.

Can I sell both services together in a single thread?

Some of you have revealed a startling disdain for private property.

Selling your service on WF is like setting up a lemonade stand in Jon's house. He let you do it for free for a long time. You are no longer allowed to do so. His house, his rules.

Be grateful for the free ride you've received in the past. Negotiation is fine. Suggesting options is fine. But realize this is not a democracy.

Well, unfortunatly, I did have an expectation for this forum, to be able to provide my service at a reasonable price... Looks like yet another let down because people are too fuckin' greedy...

See ya BST at Wicked Fire!

This guy reminds me of the person that goes into a large retail store like Target after trying to use an expired coupon on some $3 batteries and says "Fuck you, Target, I'll never shop here again. You've lost me as a customer." when in reality, that store made 60k in profit alone that day.

If you would have just tried raising your prices and not bitched so much, you'd have an easier time on WF.

WaFo may be shit as a forum, but it's the best around for a seller, by far.
Not for a buyer though.

This forum is great because you can say a service is shit if it's shit.

In that place you get banned as those with corporate looking avatars report you to the admin for questioning their $500 xrumer service disguised as something else.

This has literally stressed me the hell out... I sell a smaller service than most on here, but none-the-less, it brings me a little bit of extra income for my family. Paying a price every 10 days, is just not feasible in my situation.
You're getting stressed out by a forum you just joined?

The way you whine on you'd think you were the only one with a family or other commitments.

Maybe a one off payment for sellers would make more sense, or at least one permanent thread with subscription, but i don't really know enough about it.

speaking with my indian co horts offline and on skype, this is presenting a predicament for them. a lot of them are unable to pay the fee due to payment options - a lot of them cannot use a credit card to fund paypal, etc (so i am being told). i heard this twice today from 2 semi-prominent members. both of them sell a lot of services but are still broke because they support their families from these services.

just for record - i am pro the closed/thread fee imposed, however there are definitely some kinks to be worked out. i really think this will weed out the hard work the mods do of banning the gamers that come through signing up multiple accounts.

ive been ripped off twice in the past 3 months once for $6 and once for $150 - not a big loss but still a pain in the ass, i think that this will solve a lot of this.

design forum is dead right now, maybe interim soln is to unlock the threads for the time being? Another thing is with this new change buyers won't be able to start a WTB thread for free
