Would a blog created to sell affiliate products for, say, Clickbank, be disadvantaged market-wise by having a .com.au registration? (.com and .net are unavailable for this url but are not ranking... probably registered and held to sell).

I would particularly appreciate the advice of anyone who has had experience of marketing in the US with a .com.au extension.

Thanks and cheers :)

Why not market in Australia? Hit me up if you want to chat. You'll need an ABN (Australian Business Number) to reg it too.

And thank you too Mr Coolerer; I appreciate your good intentions. But your reply doesn't answer my question.

Cheers!

Alex

You're not getting better answers considering no one markets to US traffic using .com.au........

You're best off using one of the main 3 TLDs and you said net and com were taken so there is always .org.

Or kw-kw-kw.com/net etc

Use hyphens for the keyword or the .org. The extension you mention will probably make your life miserable to get it ranked for any competitive niche.
