I am converting my website(of almost 50+ pages) to a wordpress website... ofcourse for easy content management and to make changes in the whole website easily and also for better SEO and increasing the serps...
i am feared that when i would replace the html website with the wordpress theme then i would lose all my search engine rankings because mostly the backlinks are anchored as mydomain.com/keyword1.html .. when i would shift to wordpress then links structure would change e.g mydomain.com/keyword1
how can i safely transition to wordpress form html without losing my current serps in google...? i think .htaccess would be the solution by doing 301 redirect... can any tell me in detail how should i proceed ...
