Looked in the Buy/Sell/Trade section for good copywriters, but didn't really see anything specific. I'm not looking for article writers, but somebody that writes the sales copy for the actual landing page to use in a PPC campaign.

Call me lazy or a crappy writer, but I'm trying to develop a model that outsources everything but the actual campaign management itself.

Does such a thing exist? Do any of you guys outsource LP sales copy, or do you all write it yourselves?

I used to write sales copy for people all the time. I usually charged more for it because it was more time intensive. If you want some sales copy advice or whatever hit me up on AIM (hfmyoinkgasp) or send me a PM.

That's a great model. Don't know what your experience level is but if you're just starting out I'd recommend you learn the basics of good copy (if you don't already) for one simple reason...

If you can't recognize good copy you won't know if your outsourced work is great or shit (until you test it that is).

On the other hand, if you know what you're doing, outsource that shit and concentrate on tasks which will give you the best return on your time investment (i.e. discovering profitable markets).

80/20 all the way...

Yes such a thing exsists. To be techical that is what copywriting is. Short for advertising copy. There are a few copywriting blogs, some write for others a lot of good one are really stiff on adding new clients.

Copyblogger usually makes the list for top writing blogs and posts the results. From there you can find the other "top" blogs which of course are read by aspiring copywriters that you can probably hire for cheap or you can go with an established writer. There used to be a good forum for this, but it turned to some sort of blog selling information products.

Here are some of the lists:
Top 10 Blogs for Writers 2007 | Copyblogger
Top 10 Blogs for Writers 2007/2008 - Those in the Running
Top 10 Blogs for Writers - 2006/2007
27 Top Writing Blogs | Confident Writing

You can always go with a college English or Advertising major.
You can outsource it all essentially but be sure to have backups in place.

good thread. i'd actually pay for good copywriting services.....

ive looked at numerous adcopy writings, but anyone have some good sources to learn more? could never hurt

The problem here is that it's hard to measure results in this field.

How do you know if a guy is a good copywriter? By reviews? Or because a colleague told you so?

In fact the only thing that matters is how much the copywriter influences the visitor, and that's really hard to measure.

That's why most successful marketers are amazing copywriters and do most of that kind of work themselves. That way they don't have to measure another person's results and they can constantly improve their copy.

Imagine having sales copy written for you that literally causes Internet Meltdown as a result of the orders your receive!
Just kidding - but I do write excellent sales copy - have done for years - also write resumes and ebooks and ebay listings. There is a definite art to putting words together. If you want to have a look at some of our copy let me know. You can grab a taste here

There was a guy that used to hang out on #cakes chat was fucking awesome at this. He might still hang out, I haven't been in there in a while.

You must have overlooked the legends around here...the legends write sales, articles, hell they could even sell you your own domain if you wanted them to.

Am I one that can write sales copy that makes you cream your pants? Well, that's for you to figure out, but I'm not taking any orders, you could always hit up crack or kpaul.

I could write some sales copy for a very reasonable price - it's easy.

There is a lot of similarity between landing page copy and old timey print ads where I got my training at the School of Visual Arts/NYC, and what I used to do at the advertising agency where I worked. I also wrote 30- second radio ads, but that's irrelevant if you're not producing a video.

The PPC-Coach tagline in my siggie: I wrote that, and it has been converting for months. Just saying.

The OP could also produce his or her own copy, and get a writing adviser to improve it. That would probably cost less than a job done from scratch.

awesome thanks!

can anyone else recommend some more. Always good to keep learning.
