A few questions came to my mind concerning affiliate programs, questions that determine if it's a good idea or not to create one.
How do you determine if it's viable to create an affiliate program for a certain product or service.
- The size of the industry?
- Number of monthly searches on the most specific keywords that describe the service? 1600/mo 30000/month?
- Product's position Vs competitors? How easy it is to sell? Easy of registering?
- What if it's a niche?
If it is viable. How do you select a network to manage your offers and program? Or do you go for in-house?
What about Creatives? Would affiliate do their own? or Can they help the company with feedback? Say if the company have designers that are there to help affiliates?
How do you decide payouts to be right for affiliates and the company?
Any other requirements or pointers?
