I've been through this shit with child protective services before (I was the child)... and the amount of bullshit and lies that these "protectors of the children" fabricate to try and win cases is insane - not to mention the rampant abuse of your rights as a US citizen.

The case began when an investigator posing as a real estate investor went to the home earlier this month with the boy's paternal grandfather, Dan Boswell, a real estate broker.

That's real fucking legit police work right there.

This guy is probably an asshole who abused his kid, but with the amount of abuse I've seen present in the system, I take all of these stories with a grain of salt.

Personally, I like the idea of living in a place where police are not allowed to just walk into my house and start looking around without identifying who they are, or worse yet, giving a false identity.

Oh wait, the police can't do that, because the fourth amendment protects your rights against such behavior - but somehow, family court workers are allowed to trample all over your rights.

Then you say to yourself, "Self, everything is going to be all right. I have nothing to hide from these people." Then the social worker takes your children away using whatever bullshit they can make up (probable cause in Michigan, only need 50% possibility) and tells you to get them back, you have to go to counseling.

Then the fun begins, because you find out that the counselors are all on the state's payroll, and you're not allowed to choose your own. You're never "cured", because then the counselor stops making bank. Heaven forbid the counselor say the defendant is fine, because then they're blacklisted from state work.

Fortunately for the social worker, the adoption agencies make bank from the state too - so they can pawn off your kids quick, especially if they're young. Should I mention all of the studies regarding increased abuse in foster homes, or the story of the children "adopted" out of Vermont to a prostitution ring?

Why did it all start? Because your neighbor doesn't like you, or your in-laws don't like you, and they placed a little call to the local CPS nazis.

Fuck that shit - this needs to go back to being a police matter, where rules of evidence matter, and citizens retain their rights. If CPS or some other family court agency ever shows up at your door, remember to tell them politely to fuck off and get a warrant. Never let them into your house.

Yeah, the only difference is that police are (in most cases) restrained by law, where social workers prance merrily around all over your rights if given the opportunity.
