All of my databases have disappeared from a domain I have on a dedicated hostgator box. All of the mysql databases for the main domain and add on domains are not showing on my cpanel anymore. I was getting a 500 internal server error this morning because of a process overload, so the hostgator guy killed the problem processes and I restarted my server.
Now every site has a database error and Hostgator service is telling me this, which I don't know how to deal with.

He's saying that they can see my databases, but I sure as hell can't. I haven't got a response back on this issue since I responded to his last email, but what the hell can I do at this point. I'm not a server guru, so I don't know where to begin really. I can't believe all of those databases are now suddenly lost. Any suggestions.Thank you for contacting HostGator Support:
You /var/lib/mysql tree (where the actual databases live) has grown to over 5 GB in size. On a 9GB partition, that's a lot.
I would highly recommend moving the MySQL tree to the /home filesystem and linking the path. This requires MySQL to be offline, and will take approximtely 30 minutes.
In the short term, I moved some of the older GZipped log files from /var/log to /home/logs to free up some space. It's not much, but it gives you some time to decide when the MySQL move is best.
