Is it possible for a relative beginner to make any money in affiliate programs in the dating area? Or is it so saturated and that all the big players are dominating the market?

Just curious...

target specific groups through creative methods rather than trying to hit everybody. I don't know much about the dating, but I think you are gonna have to find a subniche or a less popular way of advertising.

I was looking at a religious dating service, I've seen christian and catholic now. You might check that out.

Be cautious, I've recieved conflicting reports about True.com scrubbing after 30 days.

pick a niche. datinggold.com pays $2 per free signup and has geo targeting. i have a 1:6/free signup

scrabbler - yes I saw that but please look at what time I wrote it and forgive my worselessness. I can only plead that I spoke German before English and let me tell you English is a bitch even after 25 years all the stupid fucking rules! and an exception to everything!

I personally use the edit button often. My typing is at a different speed than my thinking! I was born here and I still suck at spelling!

The loneliness shows huh? :)

Actually I work just about every night and would rather just go home, get in my PJ's, and grab a beer when I'm done instead of going out! Even when I do go out, the guys I meet know even less than I do about the ways of the internet entrepreneur. When I get rid of the second wage earning job, I could be interested in checking out a dating site for internet entrepreneurs!

lmao ^

larger audience is "true.com" and "adultfriendfinder.com"

go for groups of people like "religion" and "country", etc..

Or maybe better: groups of people like "religion" within a certain "country".
There is so much competition out there, unfortunately! :)
