I've used aplus and superb hosting

superb is really great, they let you test server latency before you start paying, their support is wonderful, and the prices are good.

aplus is complete shit and fucked me over severely twice. stay far away from them

i concur. use liquidweb for managed dedicated hosting. they're a little bit on the expensive side, but really, with hosting you get what you pay for.

I've learned that you really get what you pay for in dedicated hosting. One of my current boxes is $183 a month and its never had any issues in a year. I have gone for $89 boxes before and had problems. If this is for your business and you can help it, skipping on a server isn't that smart

going from shared->dedi would be a waste of money for u.. you'd prob never get close to using even half the resources you were paying for... i say go for a VPS... they're scalable + as you grow and grow it's an easy move to just clone it for the eventual dedi... checkout linode.com they're cheap
