Yeah I definately agree with Deliguy. Toshiba makes some of the best laptops around. Have never had a problem with any of our toshiba laptops. (I work in an IT dept.) We run ~30 Dell desktops, which continually overheat and burn out the hard drives (complete data loss). Fujitsu Siemens laptops, which are ok, but a bit slow and have short battery life. We just got a bunch of new NEC desktops (Powermate VL360, with some custom changes), and they are great. NEC's support has been great, and one of the best prices. But we have never, had problems with our Toshiba Laptops. All the guys that work here have Toshiba's as their personal laptops. Gotta recommend those.
We tried Sony Vaio laptops, but they were too fragile for us (it's a school, so you know... kids). They broke too much, and in catastrophic ways (not like OS, or software breaking, like physical screws coming out kinda breaking.)
That's just my $0.02 though. Your mileage may vary.
