Demonoid problems?

Anybody else having issues with Demonoid? I haven't been able to login in three days. Keep getting this error:

Firefox can't establish a connection to the server at www.demonoid.com.

Also, the tracker isn't working...

Some say it was shutdown by the CRIA, some say Demonoid is relocating their servers. No official word from Demonoid yet.
This happened a month ago also and they were out for like a week. However my downloads are running again as of today, so the tracker is back up.

Untill they're back you can try mininova.org or piratebay. Also pretty good!

The funny thing is their tracker is working. I've got torrents I got from Demonoid happily connecting to the tracker and seeding, so I don't think they are gone for good.

We received a letter from a lawyer represeting the CRIA, they were threatening with legal action and we need to start blocking Canadian traffic because of this.

Paying a monthly fee to download pretty much defeats the purpose of pirating. Private torrent sites are where its at. Sure you have to upload, but you get new torrents at the same time, if not sooner then usenet. I max out my 10mbit connection on all new torrents and keep up decent speeds on the old stuff that would be dead on public trackers. And by private torrent sites I am NOT talking about demonoid which is complete shit.

Neg..usenet is better then torrents, although sometimes I have to get certain programs from demonoid as they are not on usenet. I can download a tv show (400mb) in less then 3 minutes on my connection..fuck yeah.

Demonoid blocking canadian traffic? FUCK THAT!!!! move the servers to a different country you lazy hippies!!!

While I do pay a monthly fee now that is a recent thing. 2 years ago it was still free with my isp. Also I don't have to upload, if using torrents many times you need to keep a good ratio (unles you pay) to keep using it, depending on the site.

I'll take usenet as my first choice any day.

they got a letter from the CRIA (canada recording industry association) and are blocking canadian IPs.

Else the site is up (and getting hit by tons of traffic).
