So, a certain major auction site recently pulled out of CJ and forced people like myself with over a hundred sites running their affiliate program to go through the edit process. It also includes the signup process, just once of course. In the form to sign up, it asks you to describe your site/business model. In 100 characters or less. This includes spaces and punctuation. It's the only section of the form where you get a chance to describe what you do, and it can't be left blank.

This was a serious pain in the ass, so in case you have not yet signed up for the eBay aff program, "I've got lots of blogs" is what I ended up entering after my first six edits couldn't get under 100 characters, and I got accepted.

eBay is such a stupid fucking bunch.

I thought we could be grandfathered in from cj?

That reminds me I better get on that.

btw, How does one transfer over?...I kind of glanced at it the other day and didn't see anything on cj talking about the transfer (mind you I just skimmed) . It all just looked the same as before.

Haha, 'I've got lots of blogs'.. great description. I'll be using that as well..

I know a few ebay affiliates from CJ who are still not able to get in the new epn. And they are all 5 figure/month earners.. not some noobs trying to get in.

changing your stuff to the new ebay stuff is easy because the api for accessing the ebay marketplace doesn't change, only the affiliate section of the link. My links went from

As far as the new affiliate program, I think the ebay system is on auto approve because I was approved in like 30 minutes or so.

Just sign up here << Non-Aff Non-RR link

To answer the OP's question: You only have to list one site and I've got tons of clean ones, I just pick one and give a quick description. not a hard question for me.

Hadn't heard about grandfathering and did not gather that that was the case. However, with eBay one never knows, since the only time they aren't vague is when they contradict themselves.

If you can't find a definitive statement about grandfathering I'd suggest signing up anew, because as far as I've heard that's the plan.
