Sweet!
I did a milder version of this for a notoriously slow-paying (former)client of mine. Douche promises to pay for 4 months, then sends me a miswritten check, then yowls when I shut him off after hearing promises of payment for 2 months on the next invoice.

This was after being told by his bookkeeper that one of his buttboys(a nitwit who thinks he's a web dev because he kind of "gets" Torrents and can make a gif) told her to hold my check hostage until I did a new homepage update.

I'm going to send the link to that page in my email to the guy (who recently asked me for a manual on how to manage his site should I "drop dead") in which he discovers he'll have to count on someone else to manage "the google", etc. for him.

a somewhat related story I'm dealing with (well, I guess the only thing that's same is that it's about a shitty gym)

Been a member at this gym for 12 years, without any pause. Buy a 12 month membership for my wife for $299 a few yrs ago, put it on freeze as she was preggo. 5 months in, I ask an employee if they indefinitely freeze accts, she said "No, 6 months it starts automatically". So I ask her to ask the owner if he'd make an exception, based on the circumstances regarding having a tough baby + I'm a long standing member. She says "he said its fine".

Fast forward 2 yrs. I see the owner, ask him if it's fine if my mom can just use the membership that was indefinitely froze, maybe only 3 months of it and call it even. He said he never said it'd be fine to indefinitely freeze the membership. (aka you're fucked)

+Add to the fact I had 25+ fitness tshirts I gave him to give away, he said no he'd sell them and split the $ made with me. Never saw a dime, didn't bother with it though. So that $180 + $299 membership is near $500 of $ with no actual gym time.

So I get a text from the gym trying to get me to renew since my membership is up in 4 days. I responded (manager sent the text), told him the situation above.. He responds, "Bill (owner) said he'd like to keep you as a member, and will give you an 18 month membership for $269."

Testimonial time.

Do you even lift?

Lifting is a useful attribute here, because it allows you to storm into the office and demand a cheque RIGHT FUCKING NOW in front of all his employees with some credibility. This is far more effective than pissing about complaining on twitter and taking websites down like a passive-aggressive dweeb.
