Direct Linking Pissing Me Off

I've been trying to do some direct linking lately but it appears that Google and Yahoo ad approvers don't know their own rules.

The rules are (from tons of research) that the display URL should be the same as the final URL the user is taken to. You CAN use tracking redirection. This means you CAN do this:

Redirection
Ad -> www.mytracking.com(P202) -> Affiliate Network Link -> www.endproduct.com

Then you should type www.endproduct.com for the display URL.

Well.. I've had nothing but crap from Google and Yahoo for days now about this. I even called Google Friday and the dude on the phone agreed with me and said he'd forward the shit to someone who'd take care of it. I knew then it wouldn't get resolved. And of course it fucking didn't. Now my ads are just in unending "Under Review" status!

Some shit i really don't want to make a landing page for, and it's pissing me off that these douchbags don't understand their own rules.

Anyone think it's possible that their system is somehow not being redirected correctly? Every time I try the redirection it works fine.

Do I need to stop using P202?

Also, this product is not a rebill/bizop or some of the other things that are more shady. They tell me whats wrong and it has to do with the Display URL vs the entered real URL or the final URL that they get to. I wish I knew more about it but they don't give you much more info when they reject your ad.
 


Ya i might be forced to try that or actually make an LP for every thing. But first I want to try to talk some sense into these retards. I'll call early on Mon.. not that it will help.

I simply want direct link PPC for some stuff damnit.
 
I just heard the other day that if you wrote an ad on USFReeAds...set up the ad with a decent amount of text and links...then used that as your link to the marketing...Google would accept that as a site. Try it ?
 
you use P202 to track your keywords? install a google conversion tracking instead. it's free and doesn't mess up with your destination URL.

I use more than Google for PPC. Also, i want all my stats from all PPC companies and all campaigns nicely organized in one program ideally.
 
try MonsterClicks.com . . . its a cloaker for wordpress . . . I am pretty sure you can use it to "direct link" your affiliate offers.

I actually own a copy and it works quite well.
 
Basically, If I'm already direct linking to the offer, you can't direct link as well. G only allows one, and basically, you are not it.

So, that leaves a landing page.

your ad display url = 123xyz.com -> is a LP for berriez123.com Then the direction link when you are making your ad, will be http://123xyz.com

I don't know if what you're saying applies to me because i send Google to a redirection link through my prosper202 website. So I wont share a true link URL with others. However it would apply to me if Google only allows one account to have a certain DISPLAY url. Is that the case?
 
I had this problem once and solved it by turning off cloaking in prosper. IIRC the AdBot or whatever it's called doesn't follow a cloaked link the way prosper does it, so it thinks the LP is your prosper redirect page.
 
Thanks guys. I should mention that since posting I talked to Google personally and they finally got around to fixing it.

I know that Wes on the T202 forums mentioned that this is the case too, but it really is still hit-and-miss.

I called their asses up on the tele. Talked to someone who knew I was right. He then put a message on my account saying that the real url is my personal tracker website and it eventually leads to the Display URL.

He then submitted it to someone. I waited about 2-3 days "Awaiting Approval" (prob cause it was the weekend). Then the ads got approved.
 
Got a noob question I hope someone can answer. Using your example - if www.endproduct.com is trademarked and you are not allowed to use it for the display URL - what do you do? I don't have or want a landing page - isn't that what direct linking is?
