Do you use your bookmarks?

I rarely uses the Bookmarks unless its related to SEO and some great new idea I comes across.

I have been saving bookmarks categorizing them in various folders for a long time. But whenever I required them, I found it easy and fast to search Google than going around searching in the bookmarks tab. Yes they have really become obsolete.

once a month i review my bookmarks that i did the previous month, most I delete cause they became useless, rest i keep for the next month to come back to...but yea, google works better than the bookmark feature.

Install Evernote, clip bookmarks to a Bookmarks notebook. Makes your bookmarks more visual, easily searchable and if you use Evernote on a daily basis you will see your bookmarks more often and be more conscious of using them. Works for me.

I save the sites if I need them. If you or your extension doesn't do this then you'll find your bookmarks be gone.

Articles I read with SuperMemo eventually. If it's a list or something it's on Amazon, in an orgmode file, or a workflowy document.

I don't really bookmark anything these days and haven't for a few years. I am more likely to leave the pages open in my browser and save my session. Firefox + Tab Groups + Tree Style Tabs + Tab Unloader of choice (to save RAM).

I just keep 100 tabs open. When the browser loses my open tabs I cry.

I bookmark shit all the time but only twice that I can remember I actually using them.

Too many bookmarks, glad I'm not the only one. It's useful though. I just use a dozen folders and audit the important ones once every few months. Never found a good home for everything with any of the online solutions.

I use ctrl+shift+b compulsively and save the on screen real estate. That's all I got.

I bookmark religiously, and comb through them regularly to keep them useful.

But chrome's hiding and atroicious bookmark interface ... agrh

Yeah, if I find a cool page or article I just leave it open in a tab. All the news tabs in one window, WF tabs in another window, etc. Sure my computer is so slow I can barely use it, but I can find the page I want quick. Occasionally I can't find the tab I need and have to google it. Sometimes I have to restart my browser a couple times a day.

I'm with the OP too. Fecking thousands of bookmarks and evenwhen I think "shit what was that site again" I can never find the fucker I have so many.

Even tried evernote to clip pages/URLs.. and thought that would solve my productivity and organise me? Just the same as ever lol

Rarely bookmark now (need to clean up my folders). Mainly just save pages to Pocket for reading offline, then occasionally save/bookmark a site from there. Simple is best.
