Does Any One Here Use Hostgator

ugh these threads are so painful...i swear there is one every two months. read the fine print with shared hosting on hostgator btw...

"25 processes at once." if you don't know what this means, then you better figure it out, cuz it doesnt matter how much memory your server has, or how much data transfer up/down you have...25 processes is NOT alot.

Other thing - your VPS IP address **IS** whored out...you may as well have a shared hosting plan.

If you are serious about being in this game, sign up with someone like liquidweb, where you can scale up your resources as time goes on. try having 25 domains on a shared with hostgator and then transferring to a VPS or dedicated with someone else.

i will attest to their live chat...i like opening up two chat windows and having two reps answer the same questions and see which answer i like better

I found gator to to have problems with 202.

oh ya, and ^THISSSSSS

do NOT skimp on bandwidth when you are running P202. When an end user is clicking on an ad...chances are they are 50/50 not going to sign up for your offer anyway, despite what conversion rates you have and ctrs and whatever....do you think that they are going to wait 8 seconds for your page to load to see your offer, or are they going to hit the browser back button and continue doing with what they are doing?

Hostagtor is ok for shared hosting. If you switch your site to a dedi or VPS you will realise how slow your site was when you were on shared hosting.

The only reason I am staying with them is live chat. They respond to questions patiently and provide awesome support. (They even answer questions which they don't have to)

I got a dedicated box at HostGator and I have no complaints. Their live support chat is A+. those guys always fix any problems I have.

Also JK what if this is an xrumer profile blast some marketing VP at HostGator does every few months to get traffic. Great strategy.

If you are buying dedictaed from hostgator you must switch to softlayer. You will be able to get the same server (if you don't know hostgator is a reseller of theplanet(now softlayer)) for a better price. Softlayer too offers awesome support.

swastik (or anyone else), if you're having a slow site issue please simply submit a ticket about it. We actually have a whole department that was recently formed to look into and fix slow site and server speed issues. It's making a huge difference for our clients too.

Feel free to hit me up with any questions/issues as well and I'll help out as much as I can.

So from what I am able to gather from hostgator I can pay $24.99/month and have 30 active websites then, fully functional websites, or just landing pages? Thanks...
