Does Having "Rate this Article" Feature On Articles Help with SEO?

I noticed when searching anything, let's say for example "baked chicken recipe" or whatever, articles will be at the top or close to the top, with review stars underneath headline.

Does having this feature help for SEO?
My mind went to this idea from reading that search engines like content that users like and maybe reviews contribute to this.

Or is it irrelevant for SEO and only relevant as social proof, when the actual works of SEO bring them to that page?

And can you easily hire someone on fiverr to spam the fuck out of your article to give it 5 stars and not get in trouble?

Haven't seen stable sites with those, only mini sales pages. What im seeing right now is the social stuff likes etc.

But I suggest dont over complicate it for now. Just build it and get some improvements in when the foundations are all set
