Been on the net for six years learning to program and making sites. Started on adsense & ebay in 2001. Got serious about making money on the net when I graduated with a Bachelor of Science last fall. Signed up for copeac, millnic & azoogle been fluctuating with about $3.00/day (profit on a good day if not negative) through the whole thing. I've got the "if you can do it, so can I" attitude though and plan on toughing it out until I KNOW affiliate marketing inside and out. After I am able to save $50,000 I want to stop and get into investing and leverage programming skills to write programs to trade automatically. Of course my income is sad, pls don't laugh, ok its a little funny, but I've been working full time and am a first time marketer. I know programming but don't know how to sell things just yet.

That's me, how about the rest of Wickedfire? You don't have to share stats, please tell how long you've been at it and where you plan on going be specific as you can. I like all the good knowledge shared on this forum and really appreciate all the knowledgable members the posts of eli, smaxor, mkrongel, lerchmo, and sonic reducer were particularly good as I read all of them individually. I haven't read every thread on this forum but those posters I read most everything they said because it was so good.

i made a mistake. this should have gone into the introduction thread i just found it... this is my first venture into shooting the shit and somehow i seem to have sticky thread blindness like banner blindness

Been online since I was bout 11-12. Been making sites since I was 13-14. I'm 16 at the moment, making about minimum wage for much less work than my friends do, lol. Just tryin' to slowly build my sites/communities until I leave school.

No worries. :D

I'm 27. I've been using computers since I was old enough to talk. Commodore 64... then moved to the Amiga... and then on to bigger and better things as technology progressed.

I was a gamer and casual web surfer for a long time, but I wanted to know HOW and WHY things worked behind the scenes. So, I learned some programming and web development along the way.

Been doing this affiliate marketing/webmaster thing for a couple of years. I'm not up with the big earners yet, but I make a decent amount. There is no magic solution that will work for every single person, because everyone will interpret information in their own unique way.

Just keep plugging away.

these are the threads i like. most everyone gets in this business for the allure to work for youself and make money. plain and simple. thats why i do it and will continue.

the question in a nutshell is what do you do, are you making money and what do you plan on doing?

I think all new internet marketers need to think outside the box and create their own niches in order to survive now. There are way too many expert affiliates in the money making markets that have the budgets and knowledge to kill any noob's entrance into thier arena. They will make sure you die a quick painful death. SO CREATE OR RESEARCH NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOURSELF. I think that is going to be huge in the future. 100% self made and ran affiliate's.

Capitalize more on your sales. Why forward a lead or offer when you can have independent realtionsips with the companies you represent and earn commissions on those leads. Instead of $10 why not $500 or $5,000 to see the client to the end of thier buying process?

See what I'm saying here? Less leads, more money and work for yourself.
