First time poster here! I am a newb to affiliate marketing but have been selling B.S - E books and Study guides on Ebay for a while. I can make killer landing pages and was wandering.... How do peoples landing pages usually have the first words of the actual merchants domain name. Basically I want to make several landing pages under one domain. I just don't want a prospect to see my domain name and think that this is some kind of "Rip OFF". Have fun smashin' my lingo but I'll pick it up..

Well it looks like your question has stumped the masses...

When you say "landing pages usually have the first words of the actual merchants domain name", do you mean the URL of the landing page? Something like: target.mydomain.com, amazon.mydomain.com, etc?

If that's what you're talking about, those are called subdomains. When you buy xyz.com from your registrar you get to make any number of subdomains, and you can choose to host different content on each one. I think cPanel has a feature to make subdomains and map them to different directories (e.g, amazon.xyz.com would redirect silently to xyz.com/amazon). For more advanced stuff you can tweak your vhosts file in Apache or the equivalent in whatever webserver you run.
