I hear that. It's hard to find a really great TLD that someone else doesn't want $xxxx for.

What's your thoughts on the .US domains anyhow? From what I've seen, they're marginally better than .NAME's and significantly worse than .INFO, .BIZ or even .CC
 
They suck. But you can get cool name combos. I realized that I didnt post all my results. The results above are only from the first 500 words of about 1600 words that end in .US So there are other names out there, possibly cool ones. .Com is always the way to go.

Yeah, I agree. I've got some domains that would rule if they were .com's but as .whatever's they suck.

Now, I try to stick with just .COM's and some .NET's.

Funny thing about the .US, who would have ever thought that Icio.us would be a great domain name? Until they put the Del subdomain on it.

There are a shit ton of 3 letters available, you'll just have to settle for one of the lesser known / liked extensions.

[FONT=arial, helvetica, sanserif]FGE.NAME
[/FONT][FONT=arial, helvetica, sanserif]GHA.NAME
[/FONT][FONT=arial, helvetica, sanserif]LKL.NAME

Those were just three random ones I punched in.

I registered the geekiest domain name that incorporates the extension, years before del.icio.us was even a dream in its creators head. But I've never done anything with it except use it as a private dns server for fear of being sued. Anyone wanna buy it, or make a suggestion as to what I could use it for?

I think .Us domains can still be OK- of course you won't get any type in traffic, but how many domains out there actually do? MySpace.com wasn't typed in that often before it was an actual content site... make your site into something great and the actual name doesn't matter much.

youand.us, madeby.us, nowhear.us, etc.. all have good branding potential- you just need a good site to go with it!
