Just before the eBay/CJ tracking problems I started a few eBay/Adwords campaigns. I was getting a load of cheap targeted clicks (1p-3p) in a popular niche (a famous musician) but no sales on my US campaigns (The UK ones were doing well).

I put this down to the tracking issue and let them run, when CJ announced the issue was sorted and compensation paid I checked my CJ account and found nothing...

Firstly I thought I'd fucked up with Adwords - but everything seemed fine and the clicks were reported in CJ.

It turns out I'd fucked up with the eBay links - I was using the eBay.co.uk program to link to pages on eBay.com. :error:

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but I'm fairly sure that prior to the rover links you could link to any eBay page from any program. Now in CJ it says under the eBay.co.uk you can only link to pages on eBay.co.uk.

The really shitty thing is that CJ tracked the clicks, and apart from no actions everything seemed fine. Oh well, you learn by these things don't ya! :)

Suck dude. I've been compensated by eBay for the tracking issues - but not by AuctionAds yet.

I need to look into this more really as I've found some sales from different eBay.co.uk program links going to eBay.com - maybe they bought from .co.uk?

Anyone here know exactly how this works?

I honestly don't think it should matter if they bought from .co.uk or ebay.com - people still made a purchase!

You should still be paid in the end!

Best of luck!

The best thing is to contact them about this situation because if you are not sure then you could be loosing alot of sales for doing it wrong. The quicker you know about this issue the better.

Although saying that the person still bought something no matter if it is from the co.uk or .com ebay domains, that doesn't mean nothing really. If they have got two seperate trackings on both the domains then you will not credited for using the wrong affiliate urls with the wrong extension.

I would find out if I was you.
