Ever Feel Guilty?

I fuckin hate it when friends and family get sucked in by bullshit sales and shitty products, so I try not to promote crap or mislead people. Each to their own, but if you are happy to bullshit people you can't really complain when you get ripped off. What goes around comes around.

I accept I make less cash than a lot of peeps here, but at least my karma is in the black.

I usually justify it away to myself.
For the most part, the physical goods I promote aren't "crap" as in poor quality. I do a decent amount of geeky shit through CJ. Nerds love their USB missile launchers and anime tshirts. So no guilt there.
I feel kinda bad for the stuff I push that's digital services... but there ARE people out there so stupid that they DO need help with it.

Amanda: Post! Post! :D

Those USB missile launchers are awesome! But the best are the indoor remote controlled helicopters... Guaranteed hours of geeky fun. Think geek's newsletter is the only one I read.

yea I asked the same question when I first started. Money is money so bleh :(

Thank about it this way. If the fatties didn't buy the junk acai diet products they would of probably bought cake with the money. Even if the acai scam diet products don't help you lose weight, they at least won't make you fatter like cake.

yea, i think you'd have to have an IQ of about 15 to buy an acai berry or colon cleansing trial regardless of whether it's brianna or the advertiser's landing page selling it. of course there's the issue of whether it's morally correct to take advantage of stupid people, but i have an issue with people who are unwilling to get themselves in shape and turn to a diet pill instead. maybe wasting money and getting no results with junk products will convince them to hop on a treadmill.

its on the advertiser and the consumer, we're just media distributors, giving people something to think about, if the click and buy, that's just life, someone's going to make that coin, might as well be me.... survival of the fittest.

If you start feeling guilty about what you're doing, stop it and get a day job, get stuck in a salary working 45 hours a week for the man. Whatever gets your dick hard in life you should do

Do you think the owner of a department store have tried all the products they sell? Do you think he feel guilty?

I never feel guilty, just nervous!

But seriously, the guilt I feel for selling bullshit is FAR outweighed by the awful feeling I get when I think I can't provide for my family. It's not a nice motivator but it works!

Someone should ebook it.

I see you're promoting ads4dough in your sig. Do you have any offer recommendations there that aren't bullshit sales and shitty products? I'm not complaining about the network, I think smaxor is great, I'm looking for offers that have good karma :)

*sighs*

To be honest, to lessen the guilt, I never ever ever ever answer customer emails.

Plus saves a shit load of time cuz I never comunicate via email :D

That's why I only promote Amazon, buy.com etc.

True, the revenue is a lot lower, but I'd rather make $5k a month knowing that I'm not screwing anyone over than banking by ruining people's lifes.

To be honest, I've not really promoted any of their stuff as I mostly stick with physical goods, software, eBay, etc. (But happy to promote them as I know Smaxor runs it well and is friendly and helpful.)

They've got some credit report offers, which seems to be more ethical than a lot of stuff in that niche. Otherwise, I don't know. You're best bet would be to have a chat with Smaxor.

As if everyone really needs a 300$ gadget, or a 40$ badly written book, or crappy Hollywood DVD's.
Just because they are made by big corporations doesn't mean they are worthwhile. It's all relative.

I don't have a problem with acai or products that actually deliver on their promise. it's just stuff like zwinky toolbar. oh well. it's not hard to find suitable offers.
