I'm trying to blame this on someone else, and if that fails use a technical excuse.
Lol I appreciate the humor guys but it wasn't me that was cookie stuffing, it was a pub of mine. I am not going to put his name on blast cause I am not positive that he was actually doing it.
He has always had clean traffic until now. This was just a small portion of traffic and I just want to make sure he was cookie stuffing and it wasn't a script error.
Cookie stuffing is using a fraudulent means to call the network's tracking link so that a cookie may be set. This is done thousands, if not millions of times to carpet bomb as many computers as possible with tracking cookies with the ultimate goal of getting the conversion if/when the surfer ever signs up, regardless of how the surfer got to the merchant's landing page. One mechanism for stuffing is a 1x1 iframe that calls the tracking link. The surfer never sees the landing page, but a cookie is set just let they clicked on the link. This isn't the same as ghost firing pixels.Cookie stuffing is what I typically refer to as ghost firing of pixels. It's easy to spot because a campaign will track within normal ranges across the board and with a particular sub id we are way over tracking.

I think you should put this thread on your website's front page as a testiment to your legit-ness.
