How long do you test age demo, sex, kw, etc on facebook before you decide weather the ad is worth it or not?

For me it's based more on impressions, taking into account the day of the week. If, for instance, it's a Saturday, I've noticed that CTR will usually be lower for my ads (this might depend on the niche)...if it's late in the evening or at night on a Friday or Saturday, that will almost definitely be true, so I need to take that into account.
But mainly, it'll just be based on impressions...I think they normally will even out by 100k impressions to give an accurate CTR read (at least, that's been how it's worked out for me). An ad can be at .02% CTR for the first 10k impressions, but after 100k be up at .10 or .12% ctr...so I try to give it a little time to get an accurate estimate.
