Facebook CPM yields lower CTR than CPC

did a test on this today.. CPC had a slightly better ctr.. nothing drastic though.

CPM 2,427 1,318,701 0.184%
CPC 2,066 1,003,2060 .206%

i've never run fb ads, what are the frequency options available to you? what are yours set at? i suspect that might be a difference

I spoke to my AM about this, as for the CPC ads being shown at better spots, that is not true. The FB ads system works like a queue, the ad you're seeing on top has travelled there all the way from the back of the line (as the last ad in the ad board) and won't be shown again for a while.

Heh, I don't know. When I ran a test for that, I found different results. AM at which network? I'm surprised an AM would know about this since most of my AM's have never pushed a campaign.

Just tested this with a average performing ad.

cpm = .1 - .12 ctr

CPC = .16-.17 CTR

Same demo same times.
