You guys just need to find something that works... Obviously, we all know by now... just saying hey get a free xbox 360 aint gonna cut it.
I'll be honest with you... I switched most of my ads over today (from a 10%/sale to 20%/sale in the same niche) I need to wait till tomorrow for conversions #s for them only update once a day, but it is very promising.
Try New Things...
Then...
Try some more new shit....
Once something works....
Try some more shit to see if you can make it better....
Keep trying....
Now when it is better, try some more shit to make it even more...

I personally always use photos, seems to yield a higher CTR...
I have also heard though that a lot have come up with macros and such, but the macros are not capable of doing photo uploads (could work now, but idk)

Problem with finding proper offers is that college students largely just don't have the money to spend. And high school kids are afraid of using CC#s on ze interweb.
The problem you have (that you obviously haven't worked too hard at solving) is easy to get around.
Do a little fucking homework... run offers that pay high $/Lead ($20+) on 1-2 form submits for a trial of something...
Here are two examples that have worked well for me;
$7.... A 30 Pack of Keystone Ice costs more... fuck
No matter where you look, you'll find someone trying to lose weight.
Those two offers along with a shit ton more of awesome $/Lead campaigns is available through this Affiliate Company.
These are examples of two offers that could be ran, and make quite a bit of money... These are not the type of offers that get 300 clicks in a half hour either so be patient.

What do you want? Should we write the ad for you, or batter yet just use your aff link in our ads we run? Jesus people quit askin how and start doing something....even if you loose a couple bucks on 1 offer you will make it up x 200 when you find "the" offer that works for you. In the time you spent writing these 3 posts you could have 3 flyers written up and being tested.
I also feel wsmith was more than generous by putting up a link to his top converting offers for you to steal
I guess you aren't aware that Facebook opened up its network to EVERYONE a few months back? Students aren't the only ones on the site anymore.
Lets also remember where ~ 82% of their traffic comes from though... Current High School / University Students - ~ 10% Alumni - ~ 8% Other
Amen. And even the alumni, are generally BARELY out of college, so aren't great off yet.
Last point, before I let this wounded horse die(unless there's an especially sassy point after this post) is that the rest of the people who are members, and do not fit into the High School/University/Alumni demographic are...non educated! AKA (in most cases) also not making much money :food-smiley-010:

How many accounts are you using? I found one offer 40% conversion but they just kill it. are you using straight aff link or landing page?

Its a spider, or someone manually reviewing your ad, ad copy, and landing page. Not that I believe they have it in place already... but QS comes to mind... If it is a spider... and they're reading the text on your landing page then that could be your problem... If you PM me the Niche your working, I'll try and see what I can do for you to maximize your efforts on FB.
I don't use a shit ton of accounts... most of the people around here who I have heard using (sorry, getting banned) 100+ accounts are fools...
DO NOT DIRECT LINK - Chances are FB wont even let you get the flyer live if you're direct linking.
Use a landing page.
Put content relevant to the subject/offer... should be fine
