Quick question about Facebook PPC with regards to a bingo/keno/slots type of offer targeting people in Ireland. I thought I had everything compliant with Facebook's gambling guidelines, but all my ads were disapproved. My ad copy stated a promotion from the offer of a $20 credit and 200 free spins once you sign up for free. Not sure if that's what got the ads disapproved/retro-disapproved. Is there something I'm missing?

I did see that the offer geo-redirected me to some survey offer unless I was looking at it from an IP based in Ireland, does Facebook really not like this?

Any suggestions would be much appreciated as I was told by my AM that these offers are killing it for others on the network.

Facebook's terms of use for developers say that pages and apps that exist solely to redirect the user to another site aren't allowed. I wonder if the redirect from an advertisement is similarly against the ToU.

I'm not trying to cloak or do anything shady with the ad, just linking to my domain for tracking and 307 redirecting the user to the offer from my CPA network. Unless this is against their terms for some reason, although I have run a few successful campaigns using the same method and they had no problem being approved.

My experience of facebook is that they have double standards as regards gambling adverts.

I had approved and ran an advert for my site fine (bingo site) for a month, when i tried to place the same advert up again they told me gambling adverts were against facebooks policy.

I pointed out that one, it has been previously accepted and two, that facebook is covered in bingo and casino adverts so how come mine has now been rejected. Their response was to tell not to ask questions or they would ban my account..

Ah that sucks, I sent them an email about it. I wonder if they are going to tell me the same thing. I'd appreciate it if anyone that has successfully ran gaming ads on Facebook to PM me with some tips on getting approved internationally.

Interesting just found the following:

"Gambling ads may only be purchased through a direct sales partnership with Facebook, which requires a monthly minimum spend of $30,000, and may not be purchased through the self-serve ads tool or the Facebook Ads API."

Welp, guess gambling ads are off limits for me for a while. Funny that they don't mention that in the ad guidelines.

You can position ads as not gambling. Don't use any money keywords, etc. Just position them as social casino. FB will approve ads (if you will make light LP for your site or application). I launch campaigns without any troubles and they appreved. I just need to scale them. Need some tricky team :) or relative in FB Top management :).
