Just saw this movie the other day and thought it was one of the best films I've seen in awhile. Yes, I know it came out in 2001 but it went largely unnoticed when it came out. This might be because it was released after 9/11 and no one wanted to see anything too heavy at that time.
Anyway, it's just as stylistic as any of the Coen films so if you liked Barton Fink, you'll appreciate this one. Billy Bob Thornton is excellent. His performance is understated but probably his best role to date, and everyone else in the film does a bang up job too.
I'd give this one a 8/10.
