How to find out whether my advertiser is scrubbing on my leads other than I see a poor conversion compare to before?.

Thanks.

There's not much you can do but watch your initial conversions closely and then if (or when they go to shit) that your getting scrubbed. A network or advertiser isn't going to come out and tell you that you're getting scrubbed. However that's the nature of the business - get use to it.

If you can, try split-testing the offers with two different networks, and you'll see which one may be shaving/scrubbing leads. Obviously this wouldn't work if a network had an exclusive on the offer.

Some networks are notorious for seeing traffic pop up for a few days, will even offer their publisher a rate increase to drive more volume, and then the conversion rate will plummet because they are tinkering with the affiliate's tracking pixel and pocketing the pixel falloff at 100% margin.

How is just using a tracking pixel going to help?

The pixel won't work at all. Because most companies are smart enough where they will scrub your pixel so that it never fires.

The only true way to do it is put in about 20 leads with legit information and see if they credit you for all the leads. This isn't full proof if they track the ip address coming in, but it's a start.

I really don't think filling out 20 fraudulent leads is going to help the situation. Best bet is to rip the LP and test the offer yourself.

You could use narsticle's example, and rip the offer page form and collect the leads yourself for a test, to see if the numbers match up. check this out You Can’t Hustle A Hustler - Testing Method | Ad Hustler

Clever boys do this. Look, you as a publisher have the choice to be shady as fuck... unfortunately, advertisers feel they are forced to be due to the level of fraud in this business. The ultimate maxim really does apply: "Test Everything". And Everything mean Everything...shit you thought you wouldn't have to test... but 100K down the line when you do test it.... oh fuck, they screwed me! But meh... you live and learn.

Edit: I just read that article. He doesn't go far enough. Just lead gen offers? pfft... figure it out.

Ive done it on non lead gen offers too. I just dont want a bunch of newbs collecting credit card info on unsecure servers and having data breaches. You can apply the method to ANY offer.

^^^^ its also a great way to test your own offers before creating/stocking if you're on that side of the business. saves a bundle of money and time but be careful don't collect the credit card info just throw up a mysql error page and use a counter script.
