I've suddenly found myself needing to fill a niche within the next few days. I have two ideas that I've researched: One is pretty broad, with decent demand and lots of potential competition, and one is incredibly narrow that caters to a very small group of people (thousands instead of millions).

When doing affiliate marketing research, what's the best way to find a niche and fill it? Any tips, no matter how vague, would be appreciated.

I dont like too narrow niches... it might be easier to get to the top.. but once you're there and you can't go any higher.. you will see that the profits are not as high as you expected!

I'd avoid the narrow niches too. I rank very well for some terms which get little traffic which is a complete waste of time!

Think big and work hard and you can do well in a competitive niche.

Do both. Problem solved, profit maximized.

In my experience, ranking for competitive keywords isn't as hard as most people think.

Elime's totally right btw.
