1. Define your target group.
One of the most important aspects of promoting a campaign in affiliate networks is to reach a certain target group. We can use a call from mobile network operator as an example. People tend to react positively to a call from their carrier, who calls them to sell a better plan that would suit them better. They don’t like to answer the calls from competitive carriers, who may try to make them order something they are not interested in, are not aware of their current plan, and what’s even worse, may not be able to offer anything better than what they already have. People don’t like such calls, as it’s hard to stop the telemarketers, even if the customer is not interested. The telemarketers are expected to talk for as long as possible with potential customers, while the latter don’t like to be forced into pointless, time consuming conversations.
Exactly the same rules apply to the affiliation world. You should try to avoid too aggressive promotion methods. Instead, you should find out more about your target group and give your potential customers time to get familiar with your offer. The time you invest in pointless spam, you should spend to learn what could interest your visitors. Try to put yourself in your visitor’s shoes, think what they might find interesting. The ability to adapt to your visitor’s needs may positively influence your results.
2. Focus on long-time incomes.
We often want something here and now. It’s a bit like a kid who makes noise just because their mother said “no” to another, “amazing” toy. We want to earn a few, maybe a few hundred dollars in no time, trying to reach the potential customers manually which usually results in unintended breaks in earning money, because a promotion place “burns out”, people get tired of the same text, offers, and the results drop down to zero dramatically. The time you spend on such promotion can be invested in building your own empire which can generate you long-term passive incomes. What kind of empire are we talking about?
The empire has a tendency to expand, so start with your own blog, website, Facebook group, Instagram account, YouTube channel. There’s no single solution for everyone. Start with the one you are familiar with and focus on it, adjust it to the campaigns you want to promote and build new channels to get traffic, interest, and what’s more important – passive income. EXPAND!
3. Be reliable.
The way you promote campaigns has huge influence on your conversion. Nobody likes aggressive, rude ads. Do your best to make your ads subtle, be a marketing NINJA!
You will notice that smaller, better optimized traffic can be more beneficial than massive, untargeted one. It’s a very big topic, but you should look at yourself, how you behave while looking for products information or feedback about the stuff you want to buy. Most people believe in feedback from “real customers” instead of cheap ads with product placement. Blend in crowd and make your Landing Page as reliable and professional as possible.
4. Do not be afraid to invest.
We’re talking about investing in ads of course. A well configured ad can generate very high incomes for you and what’s the best about this method is that you don’t need to spend a lot of money to start your journey with paid traffic.
There is a plenty of places, where you can buy paid traffic. Among others: Facebook Ads, Google Ads, Instagram, Snapchat, paid ads banners, co-op with influencers, websites such as TrafficJunky, push ads, native ads and many many more!
-I invested my first $50 earned from the Internet into Facebook Ads. I made several ads packages, $5 each. After the quick tests it was easy to notice which one was the best. I left it and made new ones, with the hope that they will be better than the previous ones. New ads packages were financed by the previous packages, which already generated incomes. This way I’ve earned $10 000 in Internet.
5. Test mirror campaigns.
You can often find similar campaigns in the affiliate networks base. Do not limit yourself to only the one which may be the best in your opinion. Check your results by promoting mirror campaigns without looking at the rates. It’s not rare for a campaign with lesser rate to reach higher conversion, which in the end results in higher income comparing to a campaign with a higher rate.
6. Be patient.
This point is just a sum up of all the previous ones. If you want to earn serious money, you must also be serious with what you’re doing. Patience is a key. You should always wait for the results. You should be ready for some failures. Just remember all the new things you test, widen your experience, and let yourself learn a lesson to make something better in the future.
