For marketers some of you are seriously low on the "abiity to not be swayed by reading or hearing something and completely believing it" scale.
 
a tree fell on my car this past weekend. neighbor's tree. or actually the city's tree. (true story.)

i had the same sized tree removed from my backyard two months ago. same species. $1,800 to have it done. four guys. one truck. done in three hours.

the city came to remove the tree they neglected that totaled my car.

11 guys. FOUR HUGE FUCKING TRUCKS. 8 hours of bullshitting and talking sports.

my guess is the contractor who picked up that job (that's how it works, i learned) billed the city for 10k.)

when there is no end in sight (revenue generation for your business), you just don't care how inefficient your business is run.

National Enquirer has built itself up quite a reputation for breaking huge stories that other publications would rather not exist. Monica Lewinsky and John Edwards come to mind.
