I'm new to the content writing business. I speak/write fluent English, and I type ~120wpm. I'm giving out 5 free reviews in any niche at 250-words each. The purpose of this thread is to gauge myself and to get a good idea of what I should be charging for my writing ability.

So here's the deal! If you fall into any of these categories:

  • You don't even have 100 posts
  • You haven't even been at WickedFire for 3 months
  • You're a tire kicker and/or collect review copies for shits

... you need not apply for any of these review copies! I'm looking to give copies to reputable, long-standing members who can vouch for my writing skills.

All this said, get in touch with me for one of these reviews. Get in touch with me:

Looking forward to working with you!

emergent, here's a proposal...

I'll give you a topic on which to write a review copy. Here it is: retirement planning. Choose any direction that suits your writing style. Do not PM the article to me. Post it in your thread.

Here is how you benefit: everyone on this forum will be able to observe how well you write. This is good exposure for you, and much better than having 5 random WF members saying "Good job. Will order soon."

Here is how the forum benefits: members will be able to observe how well you write on a topic given to you. It gives them a chance to "test drive" your writing. And as a side benefit, it discourages people from raping the itrader system.

It's just a proposal. Nothing more.

Definitely not a bad idea. I'll write a few hundred word excerpt on this subject (and possibly a few others), and post them up for all to see.

A quick 300-word sample:

Retirement planning is the act of setting aside funds for the day you leave the workforce. The vast majority of workers plan to retire by the age of 60. Although, for many this may be decades away, it's never too early to start planning for retirement.

The first, and one of the most crucial, aspects of retirement planning is projecting how long you may live for. Someone with similar health to you may live to 80 today, but 40 years from now, that number could be as high as 100. Always make sure to account for the possibility of living longer than expected.

Take advantage of your employer’s retirement account. Consistently put funds towards your retirement through retirement funds such as your 401(k) or IRA. A SEP-IRA (Simplified Employee Pension Individual Retirement Account) is for self-employed individuals and business owners. Choose the correct venue for your retirement savings and make it a habit to put aside money on a regular basis, either weekly, monthly or quarterly. In the event of a pay-raise, adjust your retirement savings plan so that your take-home pay remains the same!

Look into acquiring a certified financial advisor/planner. They can help you make the best choices based on your income, expenses and life situation. They can also help you to manage your finances more fluently and less stressfully, and invest your retirement funds in stocks and bonds to grow your savings.

Plan to have all debts paid off before you retire. The quicker you pay off major debts, the quicker you’ll be able to focus more of your income towards retirement planning. Debts will eat into your retirement funds and can force you to live below your expectations for years. The best retirement is a debt-free retirement.

Retirement planning is an ongoing process and requires dedication and care, but in the end, you deserve a comfortable, worry-free retirement.
