FL woman fires shots at abusive husband and claims "stand on the ground"

The jury took about 12 minutes (literally) to find her guilty. It was a much different scenario than what was described in the link in the OP which seems to have just been written to get heat in light of the Zimmerman situation which happened not long before that article was written.

20 years in jail for warning shots? No one can take a joke anymore...

Too late to edit: Decided to elaborate a little while I wait on my chick to take fucking forever to get ready. She fired one shot and was given three counts of aggravated assault because she shot in the direction of both of her sons as well (ages 9 and 11, I think). The bullet hit the wall and ricocheted into the ceiling; it could have ricocheted into the head of one of her sons just as easily.

Additionally, all of the physical evidence and her sons' testimony indicated that she went into the garage to get the gun during an argument (after announcing she was doing so), then came back and fired at him (not a "warning shot into the ceiling" as she initially claimed) instead of just getting in her car (where the gun was) and leaving while he was trying to get his sons to get their shit together so the three of them could leave.

Both her and the man involved both had domestic violence charges against each other and restraining orders against each other, but the media wants to play up the victim woman deal.

But those two kids will just grow up to be woman-beaters too, so maybe it wouldn't have been so bad if it richocheted off the ceiling and....ahhh better stop there.

Old news, children.
