Flogs and FTC

WWII was actually ended by one phone call from the FTC. Hitler got carried away with too many bogus claims.

The answer to the universe isn't 42, It's the FTC cloaked as a number behind a proxy. And by the time you read this sentence they whois'd your ass. They know where you hide your condoms and know your mother shoe size.

to me there's a clear difference between marketing- and making false claims complete with .js widgets on grant pages making it look like the consumer was paying the s&h fee for something completely different than a trial (ie a 'calculated' grant total whereby the s&h was implied to be a one time processing fee).

Look at the offline continuity programs over the years: National Geographic videos, Columbia House, Girls Gone Wild et al. They were a complete pita to cancel - however it was clear from the getgo what you were getting: a TRIAL for the s&h fee which would turn into a continuing subscription if not canceled.

Complaints from mouth breathers? Sure. Huge problems b/c of sketchy practices? Not at all- they had their bases covered in disclaimers and legal verbiage. Again apple/orange.

Choose good companies, make substantiated claims and actually learn to MARKET instead of making stated or implied claims about a product and you'll find plenty of success. No one walks back into GNC w/ a colon cleanser pissed that it didn't make them lose 20lbs and instead they only lost 2lbs.

Steal some overly aggressive flog and refuse to legally comply b/c you think it'll affect conversion and have fun wasting your time and money in court.

It's pretty simple really.

I still run them, and I won't stop. I just have to be more anonymous.

LOL good luck with that one. You're pretty naive if you think the FTC won't find your ass. All they need to do is follow the money.

Personally I think flogs aren't worth it and will result in pure misery and tears in the end when the FTC takes everything you own.

If an affiliate resides outside the U.S. and the entity that gets paid is non-U.S., how far is the FTC going to follow the $? It stops at the border.

Hell, it took our entire U.S. Government YEARS to finally get ONE bank in Switzerland to give a small % of their info regarding actual U.S. citizens holding money in PERSONAL bank accounts within that bank.

So how long would it take the FTC to get information from a foreign bank about a foreigner paid as a foreign business entity? You and I will be dead by then. Probably.

But the Swiz are nuts! they love their gooold, the look of it the shmell of it!

back on topic though Flog are a world of legal issues .... Grab a good lawyer get a generic D/C etc drafted saying this is all not 100% accurate, result vary, money money etc and slap then on them all....worst comes to worst say hey I took precautions ... I made it clear... tell ME how YOU would change it......few months later they may let you know ...

For my first post I'd just like to raise a point...

The FTC going after these sites is akin to a camera man for Discovery Channel swooping in to save the poor retarded gazelle that was too fucking stupid and slow to escape the cheetah.

(The above image illustrates a WF member's latest Acai conversion)

All of these flogs are really just facilitating Darwin's theory on survival of the fittest. If you are truly stupid enough to believe that Miss Imastockphoto's blog is real, despite the fact that the ONLY content on it exists to sell you one of two products, you deserve to be parted from your money so someone who knows what they are doing can make better use of it.

Maybe they should just cut out the middleman of the merchants altogether and put on the blogs "You are too fucking stupid to be using teh interwebs, so pls I can haz ur monies now? K thx bai!"

And then put a big fucking Paypal link. I'll bet it would convert like crazy.

Sorry, I just have no sympathy for these short bus rejects who can't tell when someone has a vested interest in getting them to perform an action. Quit fucking this shit up FTC and let it be--eventually they will go broke from buying stupid fraudulent shit and then these sites will go away once there are no more morons to fleece.

Hmmm...guess I had that bottled up inside me for a while. Felt really good getting it out...almost as good as getting my colon cleansed (click this fake link to buy the best ass juicer on the market!)
