Affiliate newbie here... sorry if this was obvious and I missed it, but which affiliate programs am I not forced to have landing pages?

I joined clickbank but I don't see any requirements for landing pages, but I hear other affiliate places do.

Can I google search referrer check php redirect straight to the affiliate link?

The referrer shows up as coming straight from google then.

He's referring to direct linking to the offer. If a program or offer requires a landing page, it will usually let you know in the offer terms.

Clickbank products have their own landing pages so you are simply using your link to get people to the page. You really don't need a landing page for anything. If you must have one, use something free like hubpages

Click Bank products have the worst sales/landing pages. Take the time to create a landing page and write a product review. Avoid the product landing page by linking directly to the ordering page using http://1.xxxxx_yyyyy.pay.clickbank.net where xxxx is your click bank id and yyyy is the merchant id.

Matt

PS. Don't forget to stuff the cookie

I've never used Clickbank because I hate the landing pages and didn't know how to get people to them that way. Is that within the Clickbank T&C's? Anyone know?

You forgot to mention that the first number in the link is the item number and may not necessarily be "1"

I agree. Not that you're retarded but that CB is fucked up.

You can get the item number by going through the order process until you get to the clickbank order form where you fill in your credit card details. Look at the url in the address bar and you'll see the item number, it'll be &item=N where N is a number, usally 1 but not always.

If the merchant uses an HTML link to the order form instead of a form/submit button, you can get the item number from that url without having to go through the order process. I imagine you could also get it if you viewed the html source for the form/submit button on the merchant's site.
